An analogy of life

QUESTION: Masters, I had a dream last night that I feel has an underlying message, but I don’t know what it is. I live in a rural area and have some hens. My dream was about something trying to get my hens. I ran outside and found a small dead raccoon. I remember looking up and seeing an electrical line and on it sat (left to right) a white dove, a white snow owl, a white hawk with dark markings on its wings, and another white dove. They were looking down, watching me. I didn’t see any hens. I saw “something” had a hold of another animal and I thought it was one of my hens. I ran toward it and just as I got to it, it turned around. It was a red fox and it had caught another raccoon. I stopped in my tracks because it shocked me to see a red fox! I knew it meant me no harm and was “taking care” of the raccoons. At this point I woke up. Any interpretation you can give is greatly appreciated!   ~Melissa, USA

ANSWER: Dreams often try to assist you with your awareness and lessons in life. Here your higher self was using familiar objects to let you sense what is going on all around you. Hens represent your life-blood, both food and produce. Raccoons, with their masks, represent the world trying to steal from the sleepy and unwary. They come under the cover of night, or when you are not looking, to help themselves to your livelihood.

Above all, these are your guides who can help you to see and plan for preventing the thefts. White is the color of protection and the light of spiritual connection. The birds were used because most people think of angels/guides as having wings. Most are pure white and assist you in learning about your non-physical aspects or the essence of your soul. The Hawk, with its dark earthy markings, is there to give you help with the physical world and to explain the connection between the physical and the non-physical.

The fox represents the physical help that is available to you to see the root cause of your life-lessons, and how you may not have seen what it is you need to do. These are the healers and lightworkers of the world who are very much in contact with Source. All of this came to you to help you awaken to all the possibilities for understanding your life-lessons that are currently troubling you.

Masters, I want very much to know exactly what my soul’s purpose is in this life and how I can make a living doing it.   ~Lynn, Canada

ANSWER: We told you shortly after the first of the year that “what is a life- purpose?” is a frequently asked question. Here is a sampling of the ways that it may be stated. Most people seem to think that if they are unaware of their purpose in life, they are doing something wrong. Let us repeat one of our mantras: “Nothing is right or wrong.” And another: “You are always exactly where you need to be to learn the lessons you sought.”

When you decided to make a trip to planet Earth (that we call reincarnation), you didn’t do it on the spur of the moment with no thought or planning beforehand. You researched all the possible things you wanted to experience within the duality of Earth, and what you would most like to learn. These situations are called life- lessons. You queried your advisors, your council of twelve souls who had studied the same types of lessons before you, and your various soul mates. Then, and only then, you decided what you wanted to do. These lessons are the purpose you had in reincarnating.

To ensure that you would experience these desired lessons, you made contracts with other souls to help you set up the necessary staging for the events. Some of the incidents would be considered as positive in the realm of humanity and others as negative. Your purpose was to figure out what you wished to learn and then, in understanding it, find the wisdom beneath that could be applied to all other events in your soul’s continuing lifetimes. To reiterate let us finish as we did in January:

“The one purpose you always incarnate with is to find what it is that you wanted to accomplish. If we told you the specifics of each lesson you had decided to learn, you would be missing half the process. When you were in school, if the teacher had only given you the answers to questions without first asking the questions, you would have learned nothing. For us to tell you the purpose you had in mind would be the same. In other words, discovering your purpose is your purpose.”

Free Will or predestination?

Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009

QUESTION: Masters, Is it true that humans have free will? How can that be true if we have planned our lives in advance?                   ~Erika, Sweden

ANSWER: What a lot of people call free will we refer to as the freedom of choice to decide the course of action you will take in any situation. The whole premise around entering into a duality is so that you may have choices. These choices facilitate the lessons you came to learn. If you had no free will or freedom of choice, you would be nothing more than an observer. If you have no selection concerning your actions, why not just stay at Home and watch others tackle the same lessons and see how things turn out for them?

But what happens if you are on the couch or the sidelines just watching what is going on in the game? You never feel what it is like to accomplish something. You see others making touchdowns and winning awards but you don’t know what it is like. In order to feel it and learn the lesson involved you must arrange a situation in which you can get the sensations yourself.

What the soul plans while still at Home is the type of lesson it wishes to learn. It may seek to experience being controlled by another, being abandoned, feeling isolated, being dependent. What is not decided in advance is exactly how that lesson is going to be played out. The soul will be presented with numerous situations, each of which represents the energy sought to be understood, and the soul then chooses the scenario in which it wishes to engage. Control may be as a slave, an employee, an abused spouse, or a member of a military organization. Abandonment may come from being orphaned, having a spouse leave the relationship, having an employer go bankrupt, or something similar. These decisions are not made until you are incarnate and are dependent on what choices you make along the way concerning family members, spouses, employment, etc.
