QUESTION: Masters, there is a discrepancy between what I feel with my heart and my reason. In my love affair my heart tells me to stay, but not my rationality. Do I have to separate from the man that I love for his love to turn back? Recently “someone” told me that I have a priestess inside me and I need to develop. Will be through Umbanda sessions that this will happen? Is this the way for my spiritual development? ~Helena, Portugal

ANSWER: You are experiencing the third-dimensional duality in which you have input from all those around you, as well as all the beliefs that were implanted in you as you grew, plus your recognition that you have freedom of choice to do as you choose. The process of awareness comes to people when they start taking responsibility for their own decisions and not relying on others.

All your life you  have been given rules and regulations about how to behave. In the beginning, you thought you had no choice but to do what you were told. Your rationality is dependent upon what others have said; that information is in the thinking part of your head, and it does not take into consideration the way you feel about things.

Your feelings come from you alone and the wisdom you have gathered along the way in this life and others. That information also includes the life lessons you came to experience and the methods by which you may fulfill your desires. The choice is completely up to you. Start by asking yourself why you feel the way you do about leaving, and then why you feel the way you do about staying.

You do not have to do anything that you do not feel is right for you. All souls have higher energies within that they may not be using – but then, maybe they don’t need to use them in this lifetime. Always refer to your inner feelings for the right direction, not someone else’s opinions. Do not let someone direct you where you do not feel comfortable.

Umbanda is a religion whose leaders are attempting to get you to see things their way. If this feels good, do it. There is no one way to reach enlightenment. Your soul will direct you in appropriate ways. Always see if what is being told to you resonates within. If you sense something doesn’t feel right, walk away from it.

Question: Masters, for a very long time, I have had this inexplicable feeling that I may not live up to the age of 25 years. It feels as if I will go “home” either before I am 25 or during my 25th year. I cannot see myself living beyond these years. I always feel as if my true “home” is somewhere beyond the stars and there are 4 souls awaiting my return. I have always been suicidal because I cannot accept my current incarnation. An Akashic reader told me that this feeling is symbolic of a spiritual transformation that I will face during this period. Whereas an astrologer said that I will lead a luxurious life in the future. ANSWER: You are creating a belief system that is impacting everyday of your life. This is sabotaging your ability to live in the moment and enjoy the flow of the universe around you. When you erect a boundary around you it is impossible to see beyond that barrier. Your restriction is an age related one. This is not set in stone since none of your life lessons contain a specific end point.

The human mind and intention is very strong and powerful. American Indians used to decide when they wished to return Home. They would take themselves out into the woods, sit down by a tree, and have their soul leave their physical body. This is in essence what you are preparing yourself for. Why? There is much more you have not completed of your intended lessons.

Stop trying to have others make your decisions for you. You consult seers to get different points of view. You accept those which agree with your dreams and play around with anything which does not. You are the creator of your future not the energy others read from around you.

Nothing is stagnant. Everything is in flux. You can observe all the possible directions which are available or you can fixate on a single destination and close your eyes to the other possibilities. The decision and direction is yours.

QUESTION: Masters, I am in a difficult situation in my life at the moment. The love of my life is trying to protect me with something and is asking me to stop with what I love doing and think I am good at doing! Been through a written test and passed but just got a little way to go for my practical test before being approved. Worked so hard with this but also know he might be right to protect me. I know working with the Spirit World can be risky and I know that I can attract some who are fascinated with me but most of the times I protect myself and my Family. Just don’t know what to do, do I stop because already know what I am good at or carry on, please need some advice! ~SC, Holland

ANSWER: Someone can get you to do something only if you agree. Your love does not totally understand what it is that you can do. His advice to you is coming out of fear – not to protect you but to lessen his own fears. Because he is a very physical person he dreads anything to do with the nonphysical. There are many more beautiful and beneficial spirits drifting around than negative discarnates. Any time you are working to aid another, healing guides are present and more will come if you ask.

He feels negative energy easily because he associates with a lot of negative people. He doesn’t know how to bring in positive energy to combat it. He is afraid that when you assist clients in getting rid of negativity, it will attach itself to you and therefore come visiting him.

You are extremely careful and proficient at dealing with negative entities. If you continue protecting yourself and your surroundings, you will not gather any attachments. After a treatment, removing any negativity in and around returns it to other negative deposits or helps it go into the light.

The more you work with universal life-force energy and unconditionally loving Source energy, the stronger and more efficient you will find your work. Every soul has total freedom of choice.
